The details for tomorrow's rally for President and First Lady Obama (2486 hits)

The big day is almost here:

Tomorrow, we're welcoming President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama to the Buckeye State -- thanks for signing up to be there.

I wanted to share some important details to help make it a great rally day in Columbus.

Here's what you need to know about the time, the event location, parking, and security:

When: Saturday, May 5th
Doors open at 10:30 a.m.
Get there early -- seating is limited and first come, first served.

Where: The Schottenstein Center
The Ohio State University
555 Borror Drive
Columbus, OH 43210

Parking options:
Free parking is available near the Schottenstein Center -- you can also find parking at other campus locations. Handicapped parking with a shuttle service to the arena is available at the Buckeye lot. Parking is limited, so walking and carpooling to the venue is encouraged.

Route 315 is the easiest way to get to the Schottenstein Center by car. If you'll be arriving by local roads between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., please use Woody Hayes Drive and Fyffe Road to avoid temporary detours due to the Columbus Half Marathon.

Security info:
All attendees will go through airport-like security, so please bring as few personal items as possible. No bags, sharp objects, umbrellas, liquids, or signs will be allowed into the venue -- but cameras are permitted.

Other than that, just get ready to fire it up! Looking forward to seeing you there.

Thanks,

Jenn
