As a Neurodiagnostic Tech II, you will care for patients diagnosed with a brain or nerve condition, seeking the most advanced care from top specialists in the field. Summary of Essential Duties:
Perform routine assigned neurodiagnostic studies in the inpatient and outpatient settings as requested
Studies include EEG, LTM, Routine and Ambulatory
Assists with department projects including but not limited to research, database maintenance, and quality improvement
The technologist may be asked to head projects, taking a lead role in the maintenance and completion of neurophysiology task that aid the lab and/or the scientific community
Prepare rooms before and after studies and/or procedures
Explains details of procedure to patients, in accordance with standards of practice as defined by Cedars-Sinai and applicable certifying or regulatory standards
Qualifications
Education:
Associate's Degree/College Diploma in an Accredited Neurodiagnostics Program required
Bachelor's Degree in a biological science preferred
License/Certifications:
R.EEGT by ABRET required for Neuro Tech II
Applicants without certification may be considered as a Tech I
BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
CLTM from ABRET preferred
Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in Neurodiagnostics required
Applicants with less than 3 years of experience may be considered as a Tech I
