Senior Wireless Engineer (Orlando FL)

This role requires deep technical expertise, strong client-facing skills, and the ability to design, deploy, and support wireless networks across varied environments such as Healthcare, Manufacturing, Retail, Large Public Venues, and Corporate Offices</span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">This position will be based in the Orlando, FL area & would require up to 30% travel </span></p> <p><strong><span style="color: black;">Responsibilities include:</span></strong><strong><span style="color: black;"> </span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on wireless networking engagements.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Lead full lifecycle wireless network deployments, from assessment and design through implementation and support.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Deliver detailed assessment reports, identifying gaps and recommending improvements in client environments.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Collaborate closely with internal engineers and project stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Conduct post-implementation support, including advanced troubleshooting and optimization.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Produce high-quality technical documentation for clients.</span></li> <li><span style="color: black;">Facilitate whiteboarding sessions and technical presentations with customers and teams</span> </li> </ul> <p><strong><span style="color: black;">Required Skills and Professional Experienc<span style="color: #000000;">e:</span></span></strong><strong><span style="color: black;"><span style="color: #000000;"> </span></span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience (including military service).</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">3+ years of hands-on wireless engineering experience (professional services experience preferred).</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">7+ years implementing, engineering, and/or designing networking solutions.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Strong understanding of routing and switching fundamentals.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and self-motivation.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Proven ability to manage multiple projects, work independently or collaboratively, and meet deadlines.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Willingness to travel as required.</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Ability to lift and install networking hardware as needed</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><span style="color: black;">Preferred Skills and Professional Experience:</span></strong><strong><span style="color: black;"> </span></strong></p> <ul> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Certifications in Cisco and/or HPE Aruba (e.g., CCNP Wireless, Aruba Certified Mobility Professional).</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Certifications from the CWNP portfolio (e.g., CWNA, CWDP, CWAP).</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Experience using wireless design tools such as Ekahau AI Pro.</span></li> <li> <div><span style="color: #000000;">Deep knowledge of 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be and wireless architecture</span></div> </li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Competence in DHCP, DNS, and general Layer 1–3 troubleshooting</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Experience with wireless packet capture/analysis (Wireshark, AirPCAP)</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Understanding of authentication protocols, including 802.1X, EAP, and RADIUS</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Routing/Switching:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Working knowledge of: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, HSRP, PIM, MPLS, L2/L3 design, QoS</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Familiarity with switching platforms such as Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Juniper, and Arista</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Strong understanding of LAN switching, including VLAN segmentation</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>NMS Tools:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Cisco Catalyst Center</span></li> <li><span style="color: #000000;">HPE Aruba Central</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>Network Access Control:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span style="color: #000000;">Familiarity with: Aruba ClearPass, Cisco ISE</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="color: #3366ff;"><strong>Your future at Presidio:</strong></span></p> <p><span style="color: #000000;">Joining Presidio means stepping into a culture of trailblazers—thinkers, builders, and collaborators—who push the boundaries of what’s possible.
